There was a house church that was growing in numbers and meeting regularly. having grown to 80 members they decided to make better accommodations for themselves, so they went up into the mountains. They began clearing a field, unnoticed and unbothered they continued their work, eventually constructing a building large enough to fit the flock. Upon completion, they were surprised when one day government officials arrived with a recking crew and destroyed their new church. They continue meeting in fields and in homes and despite the persecution that one church, its congregation is still growing. This type of persecution continues in Vietnam and many other communist states. Let us pray for this congregation and all of our brethren in Vietnam, that they may count their suffering as joy and as a sacrifice unto our Lord. Let us pray for their strength and steadfast faith, that their persecution may end, and that we may see an end to communism around the world.
